Joe Ellis'
English Tea Room Guide
Charing, English Tea Room
Cannot rate this English Tea Room at present. This is due to the fact that this establishment is extremely busy and at lunch times expect customers to make reservations. When I entered the tea room at a little past 12 noon, only one table was available and that was reserved for a 12.30pm reservation. I was told I could use the table but must leave by 12.30pm. But by 12.20pm, I was not served and told the waitress that "as time is pressing" I will come back at a later date". She apologised and I left". So what follows is a kind of introduction to Mulberry's and I will provide a proper rated review as soon as I dine at this tea room:

Charing is a mostly agricultural large village and civil parish in the Ashford District of Kent, in the south-east; it includes the settlements of Charing Heath and Westwell Leacon. It is at the foot of the North Downs and reaches up to the escarpment.

The Pilgrims' Way the M20 motorway and Charing railway station (between London Victoria and Ashford International via Maidstone) serve the parish.

Wooden tables, floors and a beautiful fire place, with fireside armchairs really does present itself very nicely indeed.

I will return as some stage in the near future to provide a full rated review, but if the food and beverages are going to be as nicely presented and prepared as the tea room itself, I cannot see that there will be any issues with a rating. After all, Charing is rather out of the sticks, and being packed with customers is an endorsement in itself I feel..!
