This is a lovely and clean tea room, a converted barn, is located inside the Alkham Valley Garden Centre, an independent Garden Centre near Dover.
The lovely high and beamed vaulted roof and the old beams, white walls with the structure beams, wooden tables and chairs upon a wooden floor makes this tea room cosy and warm.
There is a nice display counter and fridge displaying cold drinks to the right as you go through the entrance door of this tea room.
The usual tea room menu is offered which also included; bacon/sausage baps, toasted crumpets, scrambled eggs, ploughman's, brie and bacon, melted stilton/bacon, potato skins, salads, sandwiches, toasted sandwiches as well as cream teas and afternoon tea.
I had a lovely large fruit scone and a pot of tea when I last visited.
What lets this tea room down is the fact there is no waitress service and you have to order and pay at the counter which is a trifle annoying. However, despite this, I can still recommend it, just take someone with you, otherwise you could lose that valuable table you set your eyes on..!
